The Town Hall is a delightful Georgian Building situated in the heart of Newark, overlooking the Market Place in the centre of Newark. Situated on the first floor is the Civic Suite of rooms, which provide a suitable venue for any event.

The Town Hall is convenient for local businesses and has parking facilities close by.
Audio /Visual equipment is available to support your meeting and we are able to provide light lunches and refreshments. Our staff are happy to advise on layout, seating plans and general arrangements so that everything runs smoothly and efficiently for your event.
For Weddings
Newark Town Hall is licensed for the conduct of Civil Marriages to accommodate ceremonies for those couples who want to enjoy the splendour and sense of occasion lent to the proceedings by elegant and beautiful surroundings.
It is therefore the perfect choice for your special day, whether the ceremony is conducted in our beautiful Georgian Ballroom or the balconied Council Chamber, overlooking Newark's historical Market Place.
Facilities
In order to give you greater choice when organising your event, we have a well equipped kitchen in which the caterer of your choice can prepare your chosen meal. The Town Hall also offers a fully serviced bar and stocks a comprehensive selection of wines.

The Rooms
The Civic Suite overlooking the Market Place provides versatile facilities adaptable to your personal requirements. The four rooms are available for hire individually or collectively.
The largest room available for hire is the beautiful 18th Century Georgian Ballroom. This room is ideally suited to hosting a Ball, Dinners, Parties, Receptions and Civil weddings. Maximum capacity 200.
The Council Chamber looks out over an impressive stone balcony, onto the market place and is very versatile in the way in which it can be arranged. Maximum capacity 80.
The Pickin Room was originally a drawing room when this part of the building was a private house. It is located next to the bar area, which by arrangement can be used for additional space. Maximum capacity 30.
The Committee Room is a delightful room situated near the Mayoral Rooms and is again well suited to business meetings. This room is not suitable for disabled guests as it is accessed by stairs. Maximum capacity 30.
