Newark Town Council

It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Newark Town Councillor and Former Mayor, Laurence Goff.

Laurence’s passing was quick and unexpected, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Laurence worked tirelessly for his community and was an incredible servant to Newark in his roles as Mayor, Town and District Councillor.

Most recently Laurence spent countless hours raising money for the Lancaster Bomber Memorial Statue at Norton Disney (viewed from the A46) and this included a sky dive which he completed.

The Town Council send their heartfelt condolences to Laurence’s family and friends, following his sad passing.
