Mayor's Charities

Every year the Mayor of Newark seeks to raise funds for their chosen charities which for 2026 – 2027 are ‘Baby Basics’, ‘Dementia Carers Newark’ and ‘Libraries and Reading Spaces’ in Newark Schools.

Fundraising occurs in many ways including a number of public ticketed events.

Events being planned for this Civic Year include:

A Tea Dance – Saturday 5th September 2026 – in the afternoon.

A Quiz Night – Friday 4th December 2026 – in the evening.

Further details of these will be announced and publicised in due course.

In 2027 the Mayor is planning to hold a Ceilidh – again, details of this will be published as soon as they are available.
