Cllr Diane Ledger was appointed as Mayor of Newark at the annual Mayor Making ceremony held on Sunday 12th May 2024, in the Ballroom at Newark Town Hall.
In 2026 Newark will celebrate the 400th anniversary of having a Mayor and you can learn more about the history of Newark’s mayoralty by visiting the Newark Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery.
