Community Infrastructure Levy

As a Town Council we receive direct funding from developers called Community Infrastructure Levy. The funding we receive has to be spent on community infrastructure. The amount we receive is determined by the size of a new development and calculated by reference to a specific formula.

The regulations relating to CIL commenced in 2012.

As at 01/04/2025 the Council has received £165,451.80. This has been spent on public benches, tree planting, notice boards and solar panels on public buildings.
